Yehezkiel 11:9-11

Konteks
11:9 ‘But I will take you out of the city. 1  And I will hand you over to foreigners. I will execute judgments on you. 11:10 You will die by the sword; I will judge you at the border of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 11:11 This city will not be a cooking pot for you, and you will not 2  be meat within it; I will judge you at the border of Israel.

Yehezkiel 11:17

Konteks

11:17 “Therefore say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: When I regather you from the peoples and assemble you from the lands where you have been dispersed, I will give you back the country of Israel.’

Yehezkiel 14:23

Yehezkiel 18:30

Konteks

18:30 “Therefore I will judge each person according to his conduct, 3  O house of Israel, declares the sovereign Lord. Repent 4  and turn from all your wickedness; then it will not be an obstacle leading to iniquity. 5

Yehezkiel 20:34-37

Konteks
20:34 I will bring you out from the nations, and will gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a powerful hand and an outstretched arm and with an outpouring of rage! 20:35 I will bring you into the wilderness of the nations, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face. 20:36 Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you, declares the sovereign Lord. 20:37 I will make you pass under 6  the shepherd’s staff, 7  and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.

Yehezkiel 20:41-42

Konteks
20:41 When I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, I will accept you along with your soothing aroma. I will display my holiness among you in the sight of the nations. 20:42 Then you will know that I am the Lord when I bring you to the land of Israel, to the land I swore 8  to give to your fathers.

Yehezkiel 20:44

Konteks
20:44 Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I deal with you for the sake of my reputation and not according to your wicked conduct and corrupt deeds, O house of Israel, declares the sovereign Lord.’”

Yehezkiel 22:19-21

Konteks
22:19 Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: ‘Because all of you 9  have become slag, look out! – I am about to gather you in the middle of Jerusalem. 10  22:20 As silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin are gathered in a furnace so that the fire can melt them, so I will gather you in my anger and in my rage. I will deposit you there 11  and melt you. 22:21 I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of my fury, and you will be melted in it.

Yehezkiel 33:20

Konteks
33:20 Yet you say, ‘The behavior of the Lord is not right.’ House of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his behavior.” 12

Yehezkiel 36:3

Konteks
36:3 So prophesy and say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Surely because they have made you desolate and crushed you from all directions, so that you have become the property of the rest of the nations, and have become the subject of gossip 13  and slander among the people,

Yehezkiel 36:11

Konteks
36:11 I will increase the number of people and animals on you; they will increase and be fruitful. 14  I will cause you to be inhabited as in ancient times, and will do more good for you than at the beginning of your history. 15  Then you will know that I am the Lord.

Yehezkiel 36:24-25

Konteks

36:24 “‘I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries; then I will bring you to your land. 36:25 I will sprinkle you with pure water 16  and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols.

Yehezkiel 36:29

Konteks
36:29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and multiply it; I will not bring a famine on you.

Yehezkiel 36:33

Konteks

36:33 “‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: In the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will populate the cities and the ruins will be rebuilt.

Yehezkiel 37:12-14

Konteks
37:12 Therefore prophesy, and tell them, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am about to open your graves and will raise you from your graves, my people. I will bring you to the land of Israel. 37:13 Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and raise you from your graves, my people. 37:14 I will place my breath 17  in you and you will live; I will give you rest in your own land. Then you will know that I am the Lord – I have spoken and I will act, declares the Lord.’”

Yehezkiel 43:27

[11:9]  1 tn Heb “its midst.”

[11:11]  2 tn The Hebrew text does not have the negative particle, but it is implied. The negative particle in the previous line does double duty here.

[18:30]  3 tn Heb “ways.”

[18:30]  4 tn The verbs and persons in this verse are plural whereas the individual has been the subject of the chapter.

[18:30]  5 tn Or “leading to punishment.”

[20:37]  6 tn This is the same Hebrew verb used to describe the passing of the children through the fire.

[20:37]  7 sn The metaphor may be based in Lev 27:32 (see also Jer 33:13; Matt 25:32-33). A shepherd would count his sheep as they passed beneath his staff.

[20:42]  8 tn Heb “I lifted up my hand.”

[22:19]  9 tn The Hebrew second person pronoun is masculine plural here and in vv. 19b-21, indicating that the people are being addressed.

[22:19]  10 map For location see Map5 B1; Map6 F3; Map7 E2; Map8 F2; Map10 B3; JP1 F4; JP2 F4; JP3 F4; JP4 F4.

[22:20]  11 tn Heb “I will put.” No object is supplied in the Hebrew, prompting many to emend the text to “I will blow.” See BHS and verse 21.

[33:20]  12 tn Heb “ways.”

[36:3]  13 tn Heb “lip of the tongue.”

[36:11]  14 sn These verbs occur together in Gen 1:22, 28; 9:1.

[36:11]  15 tn Heb “your beginning.”

[36:25]  16 sn The Lord here uses a metaphor from the realm of ritual purification. For the use of water in ritual cleansing, see Exod 30:19-20; Lev 14:51; Num 19:18; Heb 10:22.

[37:14]  17 tn Or “spirit.” This is likely an allusion to Gen 2 and God’s breath which creates life.

[43:27]  18 tn Heb “and they will complete the days.”

[43:27]  19 sn The people also could partake of the food of the peace offering (Lev 3).

[47:22]  20 sn A similar attitude toward non-Israelites is found in Isa 56:3-8.
